Hiking boots
Most people put a strong emphasis on fashionable shoes, but the even
the latest won’t do anything for those who adventure outside.
Hiking-trails are defined by their messy terrain and technical obstacles,
and traversing them without proper footwear is hard on legs, ankles
and feet. Hiking boots should be worn during any strenuous hike to ensure
the well-being of the hiker.
Hiking boots offer many advantages over regular shoes, including:
• They will worn or damaged from sharp rocks
• Designed to keep lower legs straight (better support)
• Restricts ankle twisting and ankle-related injuries
• Insulated enough to keep feet warm in cold/wet weather
Hiking boots come in a wide variety to accommodate different styles
of trails. Simple trail shoes are good for one-day adventures in dry
weather, but may encounter trouble if rain hits. Mountaineering boots
are on the other side of the spectrum–some of them come with crampons
for glacier traversing.
