Work boots
A construction zone is littered with accidents waiting to happen, from
electrocutions to stepping on nails. The most common accidents, however,
are people dropping heavy objects on their own feet. For this reason,
steel-toed work boots are extremely important for anyone in dangerous
settings.
Some reputable companies that make steel-toed work boots include:
• Cat
• Dickies
• Magnum
• John Deer
• Dr. Martens
Most construction sites require that everybody wears work boots, just
like they wear safety helmets. Different boots contain different symbols
indicating what they protect against: Green triangle indicates a puncture
resistant sole, red square means they’re conducive for electricity
and a picture of a fir tree means indicates protection against chainsaws.
